Mohsin Naqvi to Meet Top Iran Govt Security Official Next Week

Iranian Interior Minister Dr. Eskandar Momeni is expected to visit Pakistan next week for high level talks aimed at strengthening bilateral cooperation on security, trade and regional issues, diplomatic sources told ProPakistani.

During the visit, Momeni is scheduled to meet Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi to discuss measures for expanding cooperation between the two neighboring countries. The ministers are also expected to exchange views on the current regional situation following the recent ceasefire agreement and discuss its implications for both countries.

The two sides will review ways to promote bilateral trade and discuss key security issues, including border management and regional stability.

Officials from both sides are expected to explore measures to further strengthen cooperation between the interior ministries of Pakistan and Iran.

The talks are also expected to cover enhanced collaboration in counterterrorism, cybersecurity, immigration and other areas of mutual interest as the two countries seek to deepen security coordination and bilateral engagement.
