LDA Seals 100+ Illegal Buildings in Lahore

In its ongoing crackdown against illegal constructions and unauthorized commercial buildings, LDA teams sealed 112 buildings during operations in various areas on Wednesday.

The operation, carried out under the directives of LDA DG Tahir Farooq and overseen by Chief Town Planner-I, targeted several locations. LDA teams sealed 65 properties on Jail Road, Hamdard Chowk Township, and nearby areas, while another 47 properties were sealed in Sabzazar, Shadman, Wahdat Road, and Tollinton Market. According to Asad Zaman, 17 properties were sealed for illegal commercial use in Sabzazar, 10 on Main Boulevard Shadman and Tollinton Market, 20 on Wahdat Road, 20 in a housing scheme, and 45 in Jail Road Township.

The sealed properties included hospitals, clinics, banks, grocery stores, well-known brands, schools, offices, bakeries, private banks, and other commercial establishments.

In addition, LDA organized a grand general auction for 35 sites, including petrol pumps, educational sites, and public utility locations, generating over Rs 1.2 billion in revenue.
