Honor, once Huawei’s subsidiary, is set to unveil a new, more durable device, which is likely to be named the Honor X9c.
This announcement is a follow-up to last year’s Honor X9b, a mid-range smartphone that garnered attention for its impressive drop protection features. The X9b boasted an “Ultra-Bounce Anti-Drop Display,” incorporating shock-absorbing materials that, according to Honor, could withstand falls from heights of up to 1.5 meters.
While specific details about the upcoming Honor X9c remain scarce, teasers from Honor Malaysia strongly suggest that this new model will surpass its predecessor in structural integrity. Although no images of the device have been released, the promotional materials allude to the phone’s name and enhanced durability.
Like its predecessor, we expect the X9c to be positioned in the mid-range market segment. As more information becomes available about this durable new offering from Honor, we will provide timely updates to our readers.
This seems to be only the beginning of what can expected to be an extensive teaser campaign from Honor, so we can expect to hear more official information very soon.
The Honor X9b from last year was powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, 1220 x 2652px resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1200 nits peak brightness. It has a 108 MP main camera accompanied by a 5MP ultrawide unit and a 2MP macro shooter. The battery is a massive 5,800 mAh cell with 35W wired charging support.
