Nasser Hussain Warns England to Not Take Pakistan Lightly

Cricketing commentator Nasser Hussain has spoken out on the upcoming test series between Pakistan and England.

In an interview with a news outlet, Hussain stated “Last time England were there, Pakistan in Karachi where they’ve played, they were just fortresses. Not many sides went there and won. Since that tour, Pakistan has played nine tests and only won two (home and away) and have lost their last five test matches. Pakistan are always a mercurial side that always has ups and downs but at the moment, they’re on a real low in all formats.”

The former English Captain, currently on assignment at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup in the UAE notably pointed to Babar Azam’s dip in form and the seemingly unending coach-captain changes that are prevalent in Pakistan cricket.

Hussain was keen to warn anyone in the English camp against any complacency however by saying that it would be a foolish to assume that winning in Pakistan would come easily. “They’re a very proud cricketing nation. They won’t like the slump that they are in and they will still be a force at home”, he remarked.

Hussain concluded by saying that all the focus would be on the Pakistan team and whether they could turn their miserable run of form around.
