Islamabad High Court Stops PMDC From Issuing Final MDCAT Merit List

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has halted the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) from releasing the final merit list for the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) following petitions from students over alleged errors in the test.

The students claimed that 30 out of 200 questions were incorrect, which could unfairly affect their chances of gaining admission.

Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir issued the restraining order on Thursday, temporarily preventing the PMDC from moving forward with the merit list until the issue is resolved. The students also requested that medical colleges halt the admissions process.

The court has called for responses from all relevant parties, including the PMDC, by October 28. This comes after a similar move by the Sindh High Court, which also stopped the release of the merit list following allegations of irregularities in the MDCAT exam.

The Sindh court approved the formation of a committee, tasked with investigating the allegations within 15 days, with the authority to assess civil and criminal liabilities.

  • Meri opinion ye ha k es dfa Jin student k marks matric or FSC mn 90 percent sy zyada hn onko students ko medical universities mn admissions dia jy ya phir MDCAT reconduct krwaya jy

  • Ya phir jis syllabus sy bachon n mdcat ki preparation ki thi osi syllabus mn sy reconduct kr lein mdcat bachy fee dobara submit krwa dein ge bt test honesty policy pe hona chahiye

  • I regret to mention that MD CAT is basically a TRAP for the poor intelligent students who can secure above 90% in Matric and FSc but can not buy Bluetooth devices to compete with the dull and rich Buetoothers…
Sorry to say, but the foreigner saying also fits here ” Bitches Of The Riches “..
