Hyundai Nishat has recently dropped a few teaser images/video hinting at an upcoming launch in Pakistan. While the teasers don’t reveal any vehicle, there’s growing speculation that the much-anticipated 7th generation Elantra Hybrid could finally be making its way to the local market.
Back in August 2024, a Hyundai Elantra Hybrid was reportedly spotted in Balochistan, potentially during road testing. This sighting stirred discussions in the automotive community, fueling expectations of a new hybrid offering from Hyundai.
In March 2021, Hyundai introduced the 6th generation Elantra Hybrid in Pakistan. Despite its innovative hybrid technology, it struggled to carve out a significant market share in the face of tough competition from Japanese rivals like Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic.
Now, with over three years of the 6th generation behind us, there is strong speculation that Hyundai is preparing to introduce the all-new 7th generation Elantra with a hybrid powertrain, a move that aligns with the rising demand for eco-friendly vehicles in Pakistan.
As hybrid vehicles gain popularity due to their fuel efficiency and environmental benefits, Hyundai’s potential launch of the 7th Gen Elantra Hybrid could position the automaker to better compete in the expanding hybrid market.

Hyundai did not launch 6th generation “hybrid” in 2021, it was simple petrol version with no hybrid technology.
