WhatsApp’s Meta AI is about to get a new Chat Memory feature that will help it remember your chats to give you better responses. This way, it will be able to tap into any context related to your chats to provide more personalized results.
Meta AI is working to transform its chatbot into a more personal assistant through the addition of Chat Memory. For WhatsApp users, this could mean a significant improvement in their experience.
As always, the news comes from folks over at WABetaInfo, who have also shared a screenshot to show what the feature will look like. The feature was originally spotted on WhatsApp beta for Android version 2.24.18.18.
This would be particularly useful for those who struggle to remember important dates or deadlines. Of course, privacy concerns are also involved since not many of us want AI systems to store our data. This is why users will have control over which information is saved and specify which details should be excluded.
It remains unclear whether the information collected from WhatsApp would be accessible on other linked platforms like Facebook or Instagram. After all, Meta AI is available across all three platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram, mostly with the same set of features.
Keep in mind that this is only in beta for now and wider availability will likely take place at a later date. Stay tuned.
