Jason Gillespie, Head Coach for the Pakistan Cricket Team in the red ball format, was spotted picking up empty bottles left behind by the Pakistani players after their most recent practice session in Rawalpindi.
In a viral video, Jason Gillespie was seen walking all around the practice area, gathering water bottles left all over the place before depositing them in a nearby dustbin.
Many a concerned fan pointed to this act of humility and compared it with the subpar professional standards of the players in the camp, echoing recent words by former English batsman Kevin Pietersen with regards to the utter lack of professionalism in Pakistani players.
“It’s just a small thing, but it shows the mentality of our players. Cleaning up after oneself seems to be considered a menial task. Learn some basic manners.” said one irate fan in a post on social media site X.
