Pakistan A will take on UAE in their final Group B match of the 2024 ACC T20 Emerging Teams Asia Cup in what is shaping up to be a riveting contest at the Oman Cricket Academy Ground in Muscat, Oman.
The match will being at 2:00 PM (PST) with a semi-final spot on the line for both teams.
Pakistan currently sits in the second place of Group B ahead of UAE on NRR and will be in the prime position to secure their qualification for the next stage. Both teams have one win and one loss on their records with their victories coming against Oman and their losses to India A.
The Shaheens have a positive NRR of 1.675 as opposed to -1.878 for their opposition today, meaning even a close win will guarantee their progress to the semis.
After a close loss to India in their opening match, Pakistan recovered to outclass Oman by 74 runs courtesy of Rohail Nazir’s 41 off 20 balls with solid contributions from Qasim Akram, Arafat Minhas and Omair Yousf. The Shaheens will be leaning on these names again as they look to see off UAE’s challenge.
