In addition to these areas, the department has also predicted similar weather conditions in Kohistan, Abbottabad, Haripur, Peshawar, Mardan, Murree, Galyat, Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan. The expected rain and thunderstorms could bring much-needed relief from dry conditions but may also cause disruptions, particularly in mountainous regions.

Furthermore, rain is anticipated in Islamabad and the Potohar region during the night hours, providing a cool change in the capital and its surrounding areas. Yesterday, the weather department issued a warning about the onset of smog across several regions in Pakistan, expected from mid-November to December.

According to the advisory, there are significant health risks, especially in cities like Lahore, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Nankana Sahib, and Faisalabad, where air quality is worsening. The smog is expected to aggravate respiratory problems, including asthma, and may lead to travel disruptions caused by reduced visibility.
