Govt Blocks Passports of 4000 Pakistanis Jailed in Saudi Arabia

The Pakistani government has blocked the passports of 4,000 Pakistani citizens imprisoned in Saudi Arabia.

Sources indicate that Saudi authorities have detained these Pakistani citizens on charges of begging and involvement in other crimes. According to the report, the passports of these individuals have been blocked for seven years. Over 60% of those detained reportedly come from Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces.

Pakistani officials are issuing emergency travel documents to facilitate the return of these individuals. Authorities have stated that the deportation process from Saudi Arabia will begin soon, and legal action will be taken against the offenders upon their arrival in Pakistan.
