Pakistan’s left-arm spinner Noman Ali has been rewarded for his efforts against England with a career-high spot in the latest ICC Test Bowlers rankings.
The 38-year-old was pivotal in helping Pakistan beat England 2-1 at home with his partner in crime Sajid Khan taking the visitors’ wickets for fun. The pairs record-breaking exploits allowed Pakistan to win its first series on home soil in over three years.
Noman Ali finished the third test with 9 wickets helping him jump 8 spots to sit at 9th on the standings table while Sajid jumped 12 places to now sit 38th in the table.
The top of the standings saw a shift as well with South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada taking the number 1 spot from Jasprit Bumrah with Josh Hazelwood in second.
