Salman Naseer Joins ICC’s Future Leaders Programme

Pakistan Cricket Board’s Chief Operating Officer, Salman Naseer, has been named as a mentor for the International Cricket Council’s (ICC) 100% Cricket Future Leaders Programme.

This global initiative is dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders in cricket, with a strong focus on fostering diversity and encouraging innovation in the sport.

Sharing his enthusiasm, Naseer remarked, “It’s an honor that the ICC chose me for this role.”

As part of the programme, Naseer will commit a few hours each week to mentor up-and-coming cricket professionals. These candidates are carefully selected by the ICC for their leadership potential and paired with seasoned mentors like Salman Naseer to guide them through the demands of leadership in the cricketing world.

Salman has been with the PCB since 2011 and has since played a key role in preparing and drafting rules, codes, policies, and bylaws governing cricket regulations and the conduct of players, staff, coaches, and support personnel.

He has represented players in conferences, acted on their behalf, and prosecuted players for breaches of the PCB’s Anti-Corruption Code. Additionally, he has overseen the drafting and review of tender documents and commercial contracts, covering areas such as media rights, franchise rights, and licensing rights.
