Pakistan’s new batting cornerstone Saud Shakeel has moved into the top 10 of the latest ICC Test Batters rankings after helping Pakistan beat England in the recently concluded series.
Saud’s skillset was on full display during the third test match between the two sides in Rawalpindi with the batter scoring a crucial century to help Pakistan take a first innings lead which contributed massively to their chances of winning the game. He climbs a massive 20 places to occupy the 8th spot in the latest update.
Joe Root continues to lead the table followed by Kane Williamson and Yashasvi Jaiswal.
Indian batter have had to deal with a drop in their rankings after a terribly quiet series against New Zealand, going down to the Kiwis at home for the first time in their history.
