The UAE Ministry of Interior has begun implementing the entry process for Emirati citizens into the US “Global Entry” program, following an agreement between the UAE and US governments. This agreement was signed during President Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s official visit to the United States in September.
The Global Entry program, part of US border protection initiatives, grants UAE citizens expedited entry into the United States for tourism, business, and personal visits. Participants benefit from faster processing at designated entry points in US airports, enhancing the travel experience and underscoring the strong relationship between the UAE and the US.
The program reflects the UAE’s respected international standing and aims to ease travel procedures for its citizens at over 75 US ports of entry. After applying on the official website, https://ttp.dhs.gov/, participants undergo a security background check and can use automated verification kiosks, reducing wait times and paperwork. However, travelers still need a valid US entry visa.
