On Monday, a bus on Islamabad’s Metro Bus route caught fire near IJP Station, where Rawalpindi meets Islamabad. The fire originated in the engine at the back of the bus, though the exact cause is still unknown.
Metro workers responded swiftly, safely evacuating all passengers with no injuries or casualties reported. Passengers remained calm as they exited the bus, and services behind the affected vehicle were briefly paused.
After evacuating everyone, the metro staff controlled the fire efficiently, preventing any further damage. Passengers were then transferred to other metro buses to continue their journeys.
Though the incident caused a slight delay in metro services, operations resumed once the fire was extinguished. Fortunately, all passengers were safe, and no one was harmed.
