Islamabad Police Issues Traffic Plan for Serena Chowk Construction

The Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) has set up a detailed diversion plan to maintain smooth traffic flow during the underpass construction at Dhokri Serena Chowk. Motorists are advised to follow designated routes to avoid congestion.

Traffic Plan Details

  • For travelers from the Red Zone, use Shahrah-e-Dastoor, France Turn, Jinnah Convention Centre, Kashmir Chowk, and Club Road to reach Murree Road and the Express Highway smoothly.
  • Those coming from Bhara Kahu or Murree should enter the Red Zone via the Bari Imam Barrier Point, using Quaid-e-Azam University Road from Murree Road.
  • Residents of G-6, G-7, and F-7 can take 7th Avenue, use the Chand Tara Flyover, and reach Murree Road via Garden Avenue.
  • Motorists coming from the motorway or Srinagar Highway should use the Expressway and Murree Road through the Faizabad Bridge.
  • Travelers from Bhara Kahu or Murree heading to the motorway should follow Murree Road, Kashmir Chowk, Club Road, Faizabad, and then Srinagar Highway.
  • For motorists on the Expressway aiming for the Red Zone, use Zero Point, Srinagar Highway, 7th Avenue, and Jinnah Avenue.
  • Those in the Red Zone (F-6, F-7, G-6, G-7) heading to the Expressway should use 7th Avenue, Chand Tara Flyover, and the Srinagar Highway.
  • For residents in D-12, E-11, F-10, and F-11: Access Jinnah Avenue, Blue Area, or the Red Zone via Margalla Road. For those in G-10 to G-14: Use 7th Avenue and Faisal Avenue from Srinagar Highway.
  • Entry points for the Red Zone include Nadra Chowk, Express Chowk, Ayub Chowk, and Baghala Road, accessible from Embassy Road.

ITP requests citizens to avoid the construction area unless necessary, follow traffic rules, and heed diversion signs and traffic personnel instructions to maintain order.
