Kia is showcasing two bold off-road concept vehicles at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show in Las Vegas: the EV9 ADVNTR and the PV5 WKNDR. These vehicles, based on the all-electric EV9 SUV and the upcoming PV5 electric van, hint at a future where electric vehicles offer adaptability, utility, and sustainability.
EV9 ADVNTR is a rugged version of Kia’s flagship electric SUV, designed for off-road adventures. It features a lifted suspension, reinforced panels, and durable all-terrain tires, enhancing its off-road capabilities. The concept also includes roof racks for extra storage and a sand-colored matte exterior finish.
PV5 WKNDR, built on Kia’s PV5 electric van, is a unique camper-style concept. It combines off-road upgrades like a suspension lift, solar panels, and hydro turbine wheels, allowing it to recharge off-road. The van’s battery also powers additional features, including an onboard air compressor for inflating tires or mattresses.
Inside, the PV5 WKNDR is designed for camping convenience. It includes a tailored “Gear Head” storage unit for easy access to gear and a mobile pantry for outdoor cooking. Swiveling chairs and tables add flexibility, while the interior showcases a blue and lime-green theme with practical fabric.
