Sindh Approves Rs. 232 Million for MDCAT Retake

Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has sanctioned Rs 232.1 million for re-conducting the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) in Sukkur, as reported by 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.

During a Sindh Cabinet meeting, the Chief Minister highlighted that a paper leak not only tarnishes reputations but jeopardizes students’ futures. “I want transparency in all exams, including MDCAT,” he asserted.

The cabinet was informed that the MDCAT has been held annually in Sindh since 2017-18, with testing centers in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah, Sukkur, and Larkana. Due to a recent paper leak, the matter has been escalated to the High Court.

The Institute of Business Administration (IBA) in Karachi has declined further involvement in conducting the MDCAT, so IBA Sukkur will now oversee the exam entirely. The revised MDCAT will be conducted within six weeks.
