5 Potential Signings For WWE NXT

WWE NXT has recently welcomed several notable names, especially in the women’s division, with the arrivals of Giulia, Stephanie Vaquer, and the latest addition, Zaria. In terms of male talent, Ethan Page and Lexis King have done quite well for themselves on the brand as well.

This coupled with a new TV deal for the brand as well as a ton of movement within the overall wrestling industry itself, which further sets up the question; Who else?

Here are our Top 5 picks for future signings by the company.

Jordynne Grace

Ever since launching the WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling partnership at the 2024 Royal Rumble, Jordynne Grace has become a prominent figure for WWE fans throughout the year, playing a central role in the cross-company promotion.

Although still under contract with TNA, The Juggernaught might appear more frequently in NXT in 2025. Her current contract reportedly ends in January, and after losing the Knockouts Championship to Masha Slamovich, many speculate that she could be on the verge of a permanent move to NXT.

Speedball Mike Bailey

One of the most prolific high fliers in the industry, Bailey’s current contract with TNA is reportedly set to expire at the end of the year, and there have been no updates indicating a new deal has been finalized.

Given his outstanding performances in TNA, most notably in a match against former WWE star Mustafa Ali as well as on the independent circuit, it’s no surprise that he’s highly sought after and WWE will do all it can to lure him to the company.

Ricky Starks

Young, charismatic, and extremely talented; Ricky Starks has generated quite a bit of excitement among wrestling fans. After seemingly being sidelined in AEW throughout 2024, many believe it’s only a matter of time before ‘Absolute’ makes his way to WWE.

The main question is when that move will happen. Whenever he does eventually join WWE, fans can expect him to follow a similar path as fellow AEW alum Ethan Page, quickly establishing himself as a top star in NXT before transitioning to the main roster.

Josh Alexander

Another wrestler whose contract is set to expire soon is ‘The Walking Weapon’ Josh Alexander, who may be gearing up to leave TNA when his current deal ends. Although reports in February indicated that Alexander was ready to move on, TNA exercised an option to extend his contract for another year.

During this time, Alexander has further elevated his profile, with his recent heel turn offering a fresh and intriguing direction in his career. A classical Bruiser style of wrestler, he could be just the kind of guy WWE needs.

Penta El Zero Miedo

Penta El Zero Miedo was widely expected to appear on WWE programming already, especially after reports suggested he and his brother Rey Fenix were on their way to WWE. However, plans seem to have been disrupted by AEW reportedly adding on time to Fenix’s contract because of his excessive injuries.

Although WWE likely intended to bring the brothers in as a duo, Penta has plenty of value as a solo competitor from his days as World Champion in TNA, then known as Impact Wrestling. He could potentially join NXT and make his mark there while waiting for his brother to become available.
