Pakistan Railways Claims to Have Refunded Rs. 380 Million to Passengers

Pakistan Railways refunded Rs. 380 million to passengers over the past three years due to delays in train departures from originating stations.

In 2023, according to Pakistan Railways, passengers received Rs. 33 million in refunds, while Rs. 269 million was refunded in 2022 and Rs. 78 million in 2021. These refunds were issued to address complaints about train delays.

An official from the Ministry of Railways stated that steps are being taken to improve train services and passenger convenience. He says that passengers are notified of train delays in advance through SMS alerts.
