People across the affected areas took to various social media platforms to share their experiences and express concerns over the intensity of the tremor.
The earthquake, which struck without warning, prompted many to evacuate buildings and gather in open areas as a safety measure.
The tremor’s intensity has been reported as 5.3, originating at a depth of 220km from the Hindukush region. Authorities have not yet confirmed the full extent of any damage or possible casualties.
