Lahore Bans Heavy Traffic for Two Days Per Week

Lahore Traffic Police has announced a complete ban on heavy vehicles on Fridays and Sundays. The ban targets smoke-emitting vehicles, loader tractors, and trolleys.

Traffic Police Chief Amara Athar will lead this strict enforcement. Police teams will monitor 12 entry and exit points of the city under DSP supervision.

The police will stop all unfit vehicles at city checkpoints. They will not allow vehicles that release excessive smoke or lack proper fitness certificates.

All passenger vehicles must pass a thorough inspection before entering Lahore. However, vehicles carrying essential items like fuel, medicines, and food can enter after checks.

The Traffic Police Chief wants everyone to help reduce pollution. She has asked transporters to follow these rules for controlling smog.
