The much-anticipated Adiala Road Overhead Bridge project has finally received approval. The project, estimated at Rs. 1.88 billion, is set to be completed within one and a half years.
The construction aims to ease traffic congestion on Adiala Road, which is a busy route due to VIP movements and its proximity to the jail. The new overhead bridge is expected to streamline traffic flow and improve commuting conditions.
As part of the project, the surrounding areas will be beautified, highlighting the cultural heritage of the Potohar region. The bridge will also include modern features such as computerized LCD lights and LED advertising boards.
MNA Engineer Qamarul Islam, Chairman of the District Development Committee, confirmed that funds have been released, and the project contract has been awarded.
