Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Watch 5 and Buds 6 Pro With Advanced Features

Xiaomi has officially unveiled its latest offerings in the K80 series, accompanied by a new smartwatch and TWS earbuds. The Redmi Watch 5 and Buds 6 Pro mark key additions to the company’s wearable lineup, offering significant upgrades over their predecessors.

Redmi Watch 5: Bigger, Better, Smarter

The Redmi Watch 5 is the successor to last year’s Redmi Watch 4. It features a larger 2.07-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 1,500 nits and thinner bezels. The 60Hz refresh rate ensures smooth operation, while the aluminum frame and metal dial provide a premium feel. One standout feature is the inclusion of Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2, which powers the device out of the box. The watch also comes in an eSIM version, allowing users to make calls and send messages on supported platforms.

Equipped with an advanced heart-rate tracking sensor boasting 97.1% accuracy, the Redmi Watch 5 also supports blood oxygen, sleep, and stress tracking. The built-in GNSS sensor allows for precise location tracking during outdoor activities. With a 550mAh battery, the watch offers up to 24 days of usage under normal conditions and 12 days with Always-On Display mode.

The Redmi Watch 5 is available in black and silver, priced at CNY 599 ($82), while the eSIM version comes in Titanium silver and is priced at CNY 799 ($110).

The Buds 6 Pro: Enhanced Sound and ANC

In addition to the highly adored smartwatch, Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi Buds 6 Pro, a remarkable addition to their audio lineup. These earbuds feature advanced 11mm titanium-coated dynamic drivers that deliver rich, immersive sound, complemented by 6.7mm piezoelectric ceramic drivers that enhance acoustic clarity. One of the standout features is the enhanced active noise cancellation (ANC) technology, which effectively reduces ambient noise by up to an impressive 55 dB, allowing users to enjoy their music or calls without distractions.

Connectivity is also seamless thanks to the latest Bluetooth 5.3 support, alongside LHDC 5.0 and LC3 codecs, ensuring high-quality audio with minimal latency. The battery life is exceptional; with the charging case, users can enjoy up to 36 hours of uninterrupted playback, making these earbuds perfect for extended use.

The pricing for the Redmi Buds 6 Pro starts at CNY 399 ($55), while the specially designed Gaming Edition, which boasts an ultra-responsive 20ms latency and lossless audio through a dedicated USB-C adapter, is available for CNY 499 ($68).
