Naran Valley Suddenly Closed Amid Heavy Snowfall

Naran, one of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s most popular tourist destinations, has been closed to tourists due to heavy snowfall and impassable roads.

The Deputy Commissioner of Mansehra has advised travelers to avoid the Naran, Babusar Top, and surrounding upper regions, as the roads are unsafe because of the snow.

The snowfall in Batakundi, Naran, and Babusar Top has led to slippery conditions, making travel hazardous. Authorities have fully closed Babusar Top, and travelers who attempt to go beyond Batakundi are being turned back for safety reasons.

Tourists who still wish to visit the area are encouraged to explore other accessible locations like Shogran and Balakot. The Deputy Commissioner has also urged visitors planning to travel to northern areas during the winter season to contact the tourism department’s 1422 service for up-to-date weather and road information before their journey.

With temperatures in Naran Kaghan Valley dropping below freezing, Naran is typically closed to tourists during the winter months. The region is open from March through early November for travelers. Emergency helplines are available for assistance and timely updates.
