The district administration in Peshawar has banned buses and vans from entering the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route as part of efforts to address the city’s traffic issues.
This decision was made during a meeting attended by the Deputy Commissioner and other relevant officials, who discussed the growing congestion caused by rickshaws and loaders.
In addition to restricting buses and vans, the committee also decided to ban rickshaws from key roads, including Khyber Road, University Road (from Tehkal to Islamia College), and Saddar Road (from the State Bank to Balour Plaza).
These measures are aimed at managing traffic more effectively and reducing congestion in Peshawar, ensuring smoother movement of vehicles across the city.

Commedable step taken by the District administration. The step taken could further be complemented by starting operation against the vehicles as well as rickshaws as well as confiscating the same that violate the transport laws. The violations range from outdated vehicles which cause environmental hazards to the city to rickshaws roaming around freely without having obtained the permit to do so.
Kindly give your warm attention to run BRT on warsak road plz
