Sindh to Create Database for Stolen Vehicles and Offenders

The Sindh Police has announced plans to create a database to record details of stolen and missing vehicles, along with information about offenders.

A spokesperson for Sindh Police stated that a meeting was chaired by the IG Sindh to review issues related to stolen, missing, and snatched vehicles. The meeting also decided to take strict action against scrap dealers involved in trading stolen goods.

The database will store records with the help of the CPLC, police, special branch, and other organizations. This information will be entered into a specialized application to ensure accurate tracking.

DIG Special Branch revealed that since January 1, actions have been taken against 912 scrap dealers.

CPLC Chief Zubair Habib highlighted a noticeable reduction in crimes compared to last year. He credited the Sindh Police’s effective measures for this improvement.

Additional IG Karachi confirmed that the crime data maintained by the police and CPLC is reliable and comprehensive.
