There is currently a severe housing crisis in Pakistan as families and individuals face a shortage of over 2.1 million homes to live in, according to a recent study conducted by the Academy of Research.
The research showed that more than 38.3 million people in the country are in need of adequate housing. Of these, 2.52 million individuals are trying to find homes in urban cities.
The study also highlights that around 13 million people are living in overcrowded conditions, while 10 million families reside in substandard and housing.
The research showed that cities like Multan, Quetta, Karachi, and Hyderabad face the highest and most complicated housing shortages.
