Sindh Bans Public Display of Weapons for Three Months

The Sindh government has banned the public display of weapons across the province under Section 144. However, security personnel on duty are exempt from the restriction.

A notification issued by Additional Chief Secretary Sindh, Muhammad Iqbal Memon, announced the three-month ban, emphasizing that only law enforcement agencies will be allowed to display firearms.

The directive also clarified that employees of security companies may carry weapons during duty hours, but public display of firearms aimed at causing fear or insecurity among citizens will result in legal action against violators.
