According to reports, Pakistan Super League (PSL) management has been proactive in registering international stars for the tenth edition of Pakistan’s premier T20 tournament.
Reports have revealed that the PSL management has initiated contact with several available superstars for PSL 10, which will enable them to have a much improved talent pool at their disposal as compared to the previous few seasons.
Sources have suggested that the PSL management has already contacted major international players such as former Kiwi skipper, Kane Williamson, former Australian skipper, Steve Smith, former Australian explosive opener David Warner and plenty of other stars to play in PSL 10.
Apart from the above mentioned players, other superstars such as Jonny Bairstow, Finn Allen, Keshav Maharaj, Tim Southee, Kusal Mendis, Jimmy Neesham and Shakib Al Hasan have also been approached by the management.
These are just a few players that are available for the tournament, while there are plenty more that will be willing to participate in the tournament.
It is also reported that the players will be offered substantial amount to play in the competition, with the top marquee players being offered $350,000 to $400,000 for a month long tournament.
Over the past few years, PSL has struggled to register top-class talent for the tournament due to a heavy scheduling conflict with other franchise T20 tournaments across the globe. This time around though, PSL will clash with the Indian Premier League (IPL) which helps them in securing players that will not be a part of the IPL as there is no other cricket during that window.
PSL is scheduled to begin in April with four venues, Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi expected to host the tournament. The final dates and schedule will be revealed by the PSL management in the next couple of weeks.
