Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Ameer, Engineer Hafiz Naeemur Rehman, has announced a free laptop scheme for graduates of the BanoQabil program, according to ARY News.
The announcement was made during his address to thousands of students participating in the aptitude test for BanoQabil 4.0 in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman emphasized the need for a unified educational system for Pakistan’s 250 million citizens, advocating for one standard, one system, and one syllabus based on equality.
Several notable personalities attended the event to inspire and motivate the students, including:
Highlighting that 60% of Pakistan’s population is under 30 and 80% under 40, Hafiz Naeemur Rehman urged the youth to focus on acquiring emerging skills rather than contemplating emigration. He stressed the potential of IT-based exports, calling the BanoQabil program a “game changer” for the nation’s economy.
In the past two years, over 48,000 students have graduated from the BanoQabil program. Hafiz Naeemur Rehman noted that JI has actively facilitated job opportunities for these graduates.
He announced the distribution of 10,000 laptops to top-performing BanoQabil graduates in the first phase, enabling them to tap into international job markets and earn a livelihood.
Hafiz Naeemur Rehman encouraged the youth and Karachi residents to fight for their rights and reject dishonest leaders.
“Pakistan belongs to its youth, not to generals, capitalists, or the elite,” he remarked.
JI Karachi Ameer, and Monem Zafar, also addressed the participants, urging them not to be swayed by negative propaganda about Pakistan’s future. He encouraged the youth to focus on serving their country.
The initiative underscores JI’s commitment to empowering Pakistan’s youth through education, skill development, and job creation
