Redmi Turbo 4 Likely to Launch This Month With Impressive Specs

Redmi is preparing to launch its latest addition to the Turbo series, as teased by Redmi General Manager Wang Teng Thomas. In a video shared on Weibo, he emphasized the keyword “Little Tornado,” which reportedly serves as the codename for the Turbo lineup. This strongly indicates that Redmi will unveil the Redmi Turbo 4 in December.

Redmi Turbo 4 Specifications

Redmi is setting a new benchmark with the Turbo 4, introducing it as the world’s first smartphone powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8400 chipset. Built using TSMC’s advanced 4nm process, the Dimensity 8400 integrates a Cortex-A725 large-core architecture and a CPU clock speed that exceeds 3GHz. Furthermore, it also includes the Immortalis-G925 MC12 GPU, which shares the same graphics IP as the flagship Dimensity 9400.

Interestingly, benchmark tests reveal that the Dimensity 8400 outperforms Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, scoring over 1.7 million on AnTuTu. This achievement positions the Turbo 4 as a high-performance device at a mid-range price. Moreover, this sets the stage for Redmi to dominate the competition.

In terms of display, Redmi plans to equip the Turbo 4 with a flat OLED screen featuring 1.5K resolution. Additionally, its 3C certification confirms support for 90W fast charging.

Pricing

The Turbo 4 is expected to be competitively priced at 1,500 Yuan ($275), making it a flagship killer. Beyond this, Redmi reportedly plans to release a Turbo 4 Pro variant next year, which will feature the Snapdragon 8s Elite chipset. Consequently, users will have an even higher performance option to choose from.

For international markets, Redmi intends to rebrand the Turbo 4 and Turbo 4 Pro as the Poco X7 and Poco F7, respectively. As December progresses, Redmi is expected to reveal additional details, solidifying the Turbo 4 as a significant player in both domestic and global markets.
