According to a recent report by the visa processing platform Atlys, there has been a significant 62% increase in visa rejections for Dubai, attributed to the UAE’s new, stricter visa policies.
These regulations, aimed at preventing fraudulent applications, have particularly impacted applicants from countries like Pakistan, India, and others.
Individuals from these nations now face more rigorous checks, leading to a higher chance of their applications being denied. The stricter measures are a response to the growing influx of foreign workers seeking jobs in Dubai.
According to Atlys, processing times for visas have lengthened, with delays extending up to two days. UAE authorities are taking extra precautions, demanding more comprehensive documentation from applicants. The report further highlighted that 71% of visa rejections are due to incomplete or incorrect paperwork.
The most common issues include failure to meet the updated requirements, poor passport photo quality, submitting incorrect images, or not providing sufficient proof of return flights or hotel reservations. Applicants have been advised to ensure their documents are accurate and complete to prevent delays or rejections.
