A New Zealand Cricket (NZC) delegation visited Karachi’s National Stadium on Thursday to assess preparations for the upcoming ODI tri-series in February 2025.
Pakistan will host New Zealand and South Africa in this series, which will serve as a final tune-up before the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025, set to run from February 19 to March 9.
The NZC delegation, which included New Zealand Players’ Association representative Brad Rodden and security consultant Reg Dickason, received a warm welcome from the Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) Director of International Cricket, Usman Wahla, and General Manager Arshad Khan. During their visit, the delegation examined renovation work at the stadium in preparation for the Champions Trophy.
Before arriving in Karachi, the NZC delegation also inspected facilities at Rawalpindi Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium to ensure all venues meet international standards for the upcoming events.
Multan will host the ODI tri-series from February 8 to 14, allowing Pakistan, New Zealand, and South Africa ample opportunity to finalise their squads and strategies before the global tournament.
