6 Foreigners Arrested for Supplying Drugs to Students

A six-member Nigerian gang involved in supplying drugs to educational institutions in Islamabad has been arrested.

According to Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) officials, the operation in Islamabad began with the arrest of a Nigerian national. During interrogation, the suspect revealed the involvement of other foreign accomplices.

Acting on the suspect’s information, ANF conducted raids near a hotel in Sector G-13, leading to the arrest of five more Nigerian nationals. A subsequent search of their apartment uncovered 135 grams of cocaine and 3.2 kilograms of crystal meth (ice).

Officials stated that the suspects confessed to supplying drugs to students in hostels and educational institutions.

The ANF further revealed that a significant number of foreign nationals arrested for drug smuggling in Pakistan this year hail from African countries. These smugglers have been employing increasingly sophisticated and dangerous methods for trafficking.

The ANF affirmed that operations against drug smuggling in educational institutions will continue.
