Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (PSX: LOTCHEM) has announced an extension of its plant operations suspension until December 22, 2024. according to the notification to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).
The company had initially notified a temporary shutdown of its plant from November 16 to December 15, 2024. However, in a recent update, the management has decided to continue the suspension for an additional week.
According to the company, the shutdown is part of a planned effort to optimize inventory levels and carry out essential maintenance work.
Lotte Chemical Pakistan is primarily engaged in the manufacturing and sale of Pure Terephthalic Acid (PTA), a key raw material used in the production of polyester fibers, films, and resins.
