HMD Global has unveiled its latest budget smartphone, HMD Arc, catering to users who value simplicity and essential features. With a focus on affordability and practicality, the device combines a functional design with reliable hardware to meet the needs of everyday users.
HMD Arc adopts a straightforward design with a 6.52-inch IPS LCD that offers HD+ resolution and a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen is ideal for browsing, streaming, and general use, providing a clear and functional visual experience. Its minimalist design emphasizes ease of use, making it an attractive option for those seeking a no-frills smartphone.
Powering the device is the Unisoc SC9863A chipset, a 28nm processor that handles entry-level tasks. The 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage ensure sufficient space for essential apps and files. Additionally, the phone supports storage expansion via a microSD card slot, giving users the flexibility to add more space as needed. Running on Android 14 Go Edition, the HMD Arc has a lightweight operating system tailored for budget devices.
The 13MP primary camera on the back is designed for basic photography needs. A 5MP front-facing camera complements the setup, enabling users to take selfies and make video calls.
HMD Arc is powered by a 5,000mAh battery with support for 10W charging. Available in Shadow Black, the phone targets budget-conscious buyers, although HMD Global has not yet disclosed its pricing details.
