Earlier this year, HMD Global decided to discontinue the Nokia branding from their smartphone lineup, opting to stick with only the HMD brand.
However, the company has still been selling Nokia-branded smartphones, tablets, feature phones, and other accessories for the past few months even after ditching the Nokia name.
Now speed-checking all European websites reveals there are no more Nokia-branded devices on the website. Now if you live in Europe you might not be able to buy a Nokia-branded device anymore.
On the other hand, HMD’s official website is still offering Nokia-branded smartphones in areas like Asia, Africa, Latin America, New Zealand, and the Middle East. Although the devices are still available in these regions there is a possibility that the availability will soon come to an end. For now, the HMD store page still features Nokia smartphones and feature phones.
HMD also says that these phones will still be getting future software updates. However, it is unclear how long that will last. This step taken by HMD proves that the company no longer has any intention of making phones under the Nokia branding.

Nokia Corporation (the original Nokia) was a massive force in the telecommunication sector. It was also one of the leading patent holders in the technology industry. In the past years, Nokia has engaged in several legal battles and lawsuits against many companies including Apple, Samsung, and even BBK Technologies (such as Oppo, Vivo, and OnePlus).
