Three Pakistani men were sentenced to one month in prison, followed by deportation, after fleeing the UAE to avoid prosecution in a murder case that occurred in Dubai’s Umm Al Ramool area. The first court hearing for the murder charges is scheduled for January 8, 2025.
Court records reveal that the defendants were implicated in a murder on March 26, 2024, under the jurisdiction of Al Rashidiya Police Station. The following day, they illegally exited the UAE, bypassing official checkpoints by hiding in a truck driven by a compatriot and crossing into Oman undetected.
Omani authorities later uncovered their illegal entry and connected them to the Dubai murder case. The men were subsequently arrested and handed over to Dubai Police on April 8, 2024.
