England’s David Willey Joins PSL 2025 Draft 

Former England pacer David Willey has officially entered the player pool for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025 draft, making him one of the most exciting additions to this year’s roster. The draft, set to take place in Gwadar on January 11, 2025, promises to be a landmark event, blending cricket with the cultural and scenic beauty of Balochistan.

Willey, who previously represented Multan Sultans, has been a consistent performer in the PSL. His most memorable season came during the league’s ninth edition, where he finished as the fourth-highest wicket-taker with 15 wickets in 11 matches. Boasting an impressive bowling average of 20.40 and an economy rate of 7.46, Willey was a pivotal figure in Multan’s campaign.

His all-round display in the final against Islamabad United stood out as a testament to his versatility. He contributed with both bat and ball, scoring six runs off three deliveries and taking a crucial wicket to aid his team’s efforts.

In his PSL career spanning 19 matches, Willey has taken 28 wickets and chipped in with 66 runs, underscoring his value as a dependable all-rounder.

David Willey is likely not the only Englishman to enter the 2025 PSL Draft. ECB and the player’s rights bodies have been actively negotiating a way for English players to participate in the PSL which has recently become a point of contention between the two.

Meanwhile, the PCB has also revealed the pick order for PSL 10 draft. Two-time champions Lahore Qalandars will have the first pick in the platinum category, followed by their fierce rivals, Karachi Kings.
