Up to Rs. 3 Crore Loan Scheme Announced for Youth

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that youth will be provided loans of up to Rs. 30 million for employment and that 30,000 scholarships are being awarded this year.

Speaking at a scholarship distribution ceremony under the Talented Scholarship Program in Islamabad, Maryam Nawaz shared plans to increase the number of scholarships to 50,000 next year.

She stated, “The country’s future is in safe hands. Sixty percent of the scholarships have been awarded to female students, and I was delighted to honor students with a Guard of Honor.”

The Chief Minister highlighted a significant milestone, noting that for the first time in Pakistan’s history, the Punjab government is also providing scholarships to students from private universities. She added, “All students must work hard to take on the country’s responsibilities.”

Congratulating the scholarship recipients, she remarked, “This is the change the people of Pakistan are witnessing. Scholarships are students’ right, and I have fulfilled my duty.”

Maryam Nawaz criticized opponents, saying, “Their role is limited to criticism and propaganda. We are assisting students in acquiring modern skills, including AI and cybersecurity.”

She further announced, “All scholarships have been awarded based on merit. Soon, I will introduce a laptop scheme for you.”

Discussing future plans, she revealed that Chinese companies will establish manufacturing plants for electric bikes in Punjab, and by next year, one lakh (100,000) electric motorbikes will be distributed to youth.

Urging students to reflect on their contributions to the country, she emphasized, “Riots and vandalism do not befit students. Using abusive language and misbehavior are not traits of students. Sending their children abroad while involving the children of the poor in destructive activities—what kind of politics is this?”

  • Seems to be the only government that’s doing some Governance. I know Punkab is Half Of Pakistan Population wise but still commendable.
