The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) recently held computerized balloting for residential plots in Tajpura, Jubilee Town, and Johar Town.
The event took place at the Expo Center in collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). It was presided over by Minister for Housing Bilal Yasin, LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa, and LDA Director General Tahir Farooq.
During the event, Bilal Yasin emphasized that the balloting process was conducted transparently with PITB’s support. The plots included in the balloting were five and seven marlas. He also announced that the coming year would bring another initiative under Maryam Nawaz’s “Apni Chhat Apna Ghar” program, providing citizens with affordable and high-quality housing schemes.
LDA Vice Chairman Mian Marghoob Ahmed highlighted that 88 plots in Johar Town, Jubilee Town, and Tajpura were offered on a three-year installment plan. Parliamentary Secretary Barrister Sultan Bajwa revealed that 1,201 successful applicants participated in the balloting process.
LDA DG Tahir Farooq elaborated that the PITB ensured complete transparency in the process using the `pseudocode’ technique. Successful applicants will make payments in 12 equal installments over three years.
