Punjab Government to Set Up Anti-Rape Cells in Hospitals

The Punjab government has announced plans to set up Anti-Rape Crisis Cells in public hospitals across the province to address sexual violence cases more effectively.

The decision was made during a meeting led by Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique, where the initiative’s framework was thoroughly discussed.

The minister highlighted the importance of evidence collection in these crisis cells and pledged to expand their reach throughout the province. “Efforts will be made to ensure strict legislation and improve the functioning of these cells,” Rafique stated.
