The Punjab Wildlife and Parks Department has launched the province’s first portable X-ray service for wildlife.
The facility has been introduced at the wildlife hospital in Safari Zoo, allowing veterinary teams to examine injured or sick animals on the spot.
Officials said the new machine has already been used to successfully examine a deer and a python.
The service will reduce the need to transport animals to veterinary hospitals, helping prevent unnecessary stress and delays.
Authorities believe the facility will improve diagnosis and allow wildlife experts to begin treatment more quickly.
