The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has dismissed as fake a letter circulating on social media that falsely claims the duration of the LLB program has been reduced from five years to four years for current students.
In an official clarification, HEC said the forged letter, titled “Policy Guideline: LLB 4-Year Program Duration and GAT Eligibility for Current Students,” was not issued by the commission and contains false information.
The fake document claims that all current students enrolled in the five-year LLB program would be shifted to a four-year program and become eligible to appear in the Law Graduate Assessment Test (Law-GAT) after completing their fourth year.
HEC categorically rejected these claims and urged students, universities, and the public not to trust or share the forged notification.
The commission advised everyone to rely only on information published through its official website and verified social media platforms for authentic announcements and policy updates.
