Al Ain City set a new Guinness World Record for the longest chain of fireworks during the UAE’s 53rd National Day celebrations.
Organized by Al Ain City Municipality, the spectacular display stretched 11.1 kilometers on December 2, 2024. The record-breaking event was achieved in just 50 seconds, with fireworks launched from 51 platforms.
This marks the municipality’s second Guinness World Record in 2024, following the achievement of creating the largest bouquet in February.

The 53rd Union Day was also celebrated at Hili Fun City with dazzling fireworks and a drone show, captivating attendees with its grandeur.
Ras Al Khaimah’s Guinness World Records in 2024
Earlier in the year, on January 1, 2024, Ras Al Khaimah set two Guinness World Records with an eight-minute firework and drone display. The emirate secured the titles for the “Longest chain of aquatic floating fireworks” spanning 5.8 kilometers and the “Longest straight-line drones display” with a total length of 2 kilometers.
Previous Records by Ras Al Khaimah
In 2023, Ras Al Khaimah also earned two Guinness World Records for its pyro-musical show. The 12-minute display featured:
- The largest number of operated multi-rotors/drones simultaneously with fireworks.
- The largest aerial sentence was formed by 673 drones.
