The district administration, local police, and Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Joint Task Force sealed the unauthorized Heaven Valley housing scheme in Mouza Sahang on Mandra-Chakwal Road and demolished its boundary walls.
In a press statement, RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza emphasized that, under Commissioner Aamir Khattak’s leadership, the crackdown on illegal housing societies would continue aggressively to prevent fraud and safeguard citizens from exploitation.
Ms. Murtaza stated that despite repeated warnings to halt illegal advertisements, bookings, and development activities, the housing scheme owners persisted in operating booking offices in violation of regulations, prompting the authorities to take action.
She also stressed that public complaints about illegal land occupation by the scheme’s owners are being taken seriously, with strict measures planned against those involved in forceful land grabs.
The RDA has advised the public to avoid investing in unauthorized housing schemes. Citizens are encouraged to verify approved housing projects by visiting the RDA website (www.rda.gop.pk).
The operation was led by Assistant Commissioner Gujar Khan, Hazar Zahoor Goraya, and included officials from the Mandra police station and the RDA team.
