Visiting Lahore Zoo used to be an affordable activity for children, but not anymore, as the entry ticket price has surged from Rs100 to Rs300, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
This significant hike, implemented on the very first day of the new year, shocked visitors, prompting many to opt for alternative recreational spots.
Additionally, the zoo’s management contract has been awarded to a private company for Rs500 million.
Visitors now face a separate charge of Rs200 to view the snake exhibit, and prices for viewing other animals have also been increased.
