Lahore Traffic Police Starts Action Against Illegal Parking Stands

The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Traffic Police, Muhammad Athar Waheed, has instructed traffic officers to take decisive action against illegal parking stands in Lahore. He emphasized the need for strict enforcement, calling for a zero-tolerance policy against all encroachments on city roads.

As part of this initiative, the City Traffic Police has launched the “First Clean, Then Clear” campaign aimed at eliminating encroachments that disrupt the flow of traffic. Last week, warnings were issued to those involved in encroachments and illegal parking stand operations, urging compliance with regulations.

DIG Waheed highlighted that unauthorized parking lots significantly contribute to traffic congestion in the city. He directed that violators be booked and detained to curb these practices.
